Your story is just beginning when you graduate from a Northern Path Recovery Center recovery program. At NPRC, we believe the opposite of addiction is connection. When you graduate from our recovery program, our alumni program will offer continuous guidance and support to our graduates throughout their recovery.
At Northern Path Recovery Center, we understand that recovery is not one-size-fits-all. Recovery doesn’t end when treatment does — it evolves. When you complete our program, you don’t just walk away, you join an exclusive alumni community dedicated to your ongoing growth by offering:
It is with great enthusiasm that we introduce Alexis as the new Alumni Coordinator for Northern Path Recovery Center! Alexis is a dedicated social worker whose passion for recovery and community transformation was deeply influenced by her education on the relationship between the criminal justice system, addiction, crime, and mental health. Having witnessed firsthand how these factors intersect, Alexis is driven to support individuals on their journey toward recovery and healing.
Her personal commitment to these issues fuels her excitement about forming and growing Northern Path’s Alumni Program. Alexis is eager to foster meaningful connections among alumni, helping them to share their experiences, continue their recovery journey, and contribute to the program’s long-term success. She is passionate about the potential for this program to not only support alumni but also create a lasting impact on the broader community.
Alexis looks forward to seeing how the Alumni Program will evolve and is deeply committed to making it a resource for growth, connection, and empowerment for all involved. We are excited to have her on board and can’t wait to see how her vision and dedication will shape the future of Northern Path Recovery Center!
In her new role, Alexis is eager to stay connected with the current alumni and members of the community. If you’re an alumnus, Alexis would love to hear from you! Feel free to reach out to her at 260-777-7034.
At Northern Path Recovery, we believe healing continues long after treatment ends.
Our monthly Alumni Newsletter is a meaningful way to stay connected with upcoming events, recovery insights, and tools to support long-term sobriety.
It’s a reminder that you’re never walking this path alone. Your Northern Path community is always here.
“Talk or die.”
That’s what Miss Sherry used to tell us at NPRC — and it stuck with me. One of the most important things I’ve learned in recovery is that you have to talk. When you’re having bad days, you can’t hold it all in. If you don’t let out what’s weighing you down, it’ll keep you down — and eventually, you’ll fall and might not be able to get back up.
You also never know who’s listening. Sharing your story might be exactly what someone else needs to hear.
I’m 43 now, and I was in active addiction for 22 years — that’s half my life. I wish I would’ve gotten help sooner, because I missed out on a lot with my kids. My son Julian is 21, and my daughter Lilianna is 20.
I’ve been through a lot, but everything I’ve gone through has molded me into the person I am today. I’m not where I want to be yet — I still have a lot of work ahead of me, especially when it comes to rebuilding my relationships with my kids and my family.
But I know I can walk ten toes down with my head held high and not be ashamed anymore.
My advice to anyone struggling: Don’t give up. Recovery isn’t always sunshine and roses. You’ll have bad days, you’ll stumble — but even one bad day in sobriety is still better than a hundred “good” days in addiction.
You’re not alone. And it’s okay to not be okay — just don’t stay silent. Talk. Heal. Keep going.
